Until this chat, I didn't think much about the folks who are credited as 'song writers' for artists. This was such an eye opening chat as it exposed a vital function within the music industry that doesn't get a lot of attention. GOOD LORD. We've made it my friends. Here is episode 10 of We Might Be Crazy featuring my new friend ImMainey. Fun fact of the day, apparently most podcasts only tend to average 7 episodes. So I'm feeling very happy about the fact that I've been able to stick to this for 2 months now! This might potentially be one of my favourtie interviews I've done so far. Mainey came across my stream one day and asked some very interesting questions about my set up. Then one of my mods Iggy363 did some digging and found out that Mainey had an absolutely CRAZY voice. I kinda had a feeling that Mainey had a story to tell and I was 1000% correct. Hello friends! Welcome to episode 7 of We Might Be CrazyThis week, I have my good friend (and fellow collaborator) Mirabelle Jien. I’ve known Mirabelle for roughly a year and a half now and I still remember the day she slid into my DM’s with a ‘wanna collab?’ We’ve released two awesome covers (expertly product by Mirabelle) and currently working on a third to be released in the coming weeks. I of course had to have Mirabelle on the show. From the outside looking in, Mirabelle seems like she can do it all. A classical flautist, guitarist, vocalist, looper, producer, photographer and podcaster. We've had many talks about content strategies and branding and she started streaming just a little bit after me. One thing I've always been impressed with is Yinny's planning when it comes to her brand and content. Welcome to episode 5 of We Might Be Crazy! The past few years for Yeju have been absolutely crazy. Growing to 100k followers on Twitch, moving to Korea with little to no support network whilst streaming 5-6 days a week is a feat not many can achieve. When I heard how much of herself Yeju was putting into her streams, it left me a little gobsmacked. I knew she was a hard worker, but I didn't realise to the extent. I struggle with 3-4 days per week before I start feeling the burn out. This conversation goes from Yeju's beginnings as a classically trained violinist to how she fell out of love with the instrument and lost a bit of her identity all the way to the present day. Welcome to episode 3 of We Might Be Crazy. Today I am joined in the studio with my good friend Matt Burrows in person which was a nice change of pace. Matt's journey on Twitch is fascinating to me. Like many, he drifted to Twitch once lockdown started sweeping Melbourne. Waow! Episode 2!? Crazy. ItsTanuki is an awesome music streamer on Twitch. They start streaming after a friend pushed them to do it during COVID and now they're making the transition to streaming full time. The main reason I reached out to Tanuki for a chat was due to a conversation we had a few months ago. After I popped into a stream of hers, she sent me a DM with some questions about the full time streamer life. We had a really brief chat around content upload schedules, what should we be posting and where we should be posting it. Since I had made that transition to the full time creator life a few months beforehand, I had spent a bit more time thinking about it but it sounded like Tanuki was having a lot of the same issues I was making that transition. Oh no, not another podcast! Over the past few years on Twitch, I've started to reflect on how much inspiration I'm taking from my fellow creators. I wanted to have a series where I talk to them about their journey, what inspires them and what struggles they have as a content creator. I stumbled across a reel from the very talented  @DarinKirkSauvey , and he started it by saying 'I quit my job last year to become a fulltime musician' and then started singing 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley. I don't know what it was about that video, but something struck a chord with me. We definitely might be a little crazy trying to make a career in content creation, right?
