En octubre de 1984 se lanzó el disco “Native sons”, primer álbum de The Long Ryders. Con motivo de su 40 aniversario Cherry Red Records reedita aquel trabajo en una caja de tres discos que incluye sus primeros EP’s, las demos del álbum, unas maquetas de 1982 o un directo registrado en su primera visita a Londres a comienzos de 1985.
